DC restaurants are currently banning indoor dining until the 15th Jan so we sat outside where they had heaters and fires next to the tables and a covered top. We had a LOT of Turkish tea and fell in love with the halloumi and sigara boregi (stuffed cheese phyllo rolls) we ordered more! The waiter said a few things on the menu were حلال which included chicken, Turkish sausage and the cured beef and ofcourse the fish and veg dishes.
The husband and I ordered the sucuklu pide (spiced turkey sausage) and the pastirma pide (cured beef) which were both حلال and we enjoyed them a lot! I do wish they were a little bigger and that the entire menu offered حلال meat (I didn’t try the lahmacun or the Adana kebab as they weren’t حلال but the presentation looked great)!
Overall I enjoyed the experience the food was great and came out hot and the service was really quick.
